Community Objections

Our Villages are under immediate threat from development, which will result in:

6,000 new house in North Weald Parish (currently 3,000 houses)
Loss forever of our historic airfield, and an important open space
A new town of North Weald that will be larger than present day Epping
25 hectares of industrial development
Damage to our environment and building on greenbelt land
Congestion and over-stretched services and amenities

Say NO to 6,000 houses in North Weald Parish

Communality members called door-to-door, delivering and collecting objections from every household in the parish. An unprecedented number of responses were returned, some 2,621 in total.

These objections were used to prove that the majority of our community are apposed to the plan and supported the case against the development of the magnitude suggested in the East of England Plan. They were delivered to the EERA at Frampton, Suffolk on Monday 14th March in order to reach their deadline of 16th March.
